Discover Genoa

What to see

During your stay in Genoa, enjoy a stroll in the historic centre, along the “caruggi”, the traditional Genoa alleys, discovering architectural monuments like Spinola Palace and Doge’s Palace. Don’t miss the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the city Duomo, and the Rolli Palace. Finally, when you are visiting Genoa, don’t forget to see the Old Port, Lanterna lighthouse, and Genoa Aquarium.

Where to stay

To reach the main attractions in Genoa, we suggest staying at a hotel in the historic centre. It is a strategic spot for visiting the sites of interest in the city and to enjoy a few hours of relaxation in different cafés and restaurants.

What to eat

Genoa’s traditional dishes are pasta with pesto and focaccia. If you want to taste real Genovese pesto stop in one of the restaurants in the heart of the city centre. Don’t be surprised if you also find potatoes and boiled green beans in your dish, they are part of the traditional recipe!
To try focaccia, on the other hand, you must stop at one of the historic bakers in the city. You can try it at any time of the day, from breakfast to snack time. You must try the type with onions, which is truly delicious!
