Discover Termini Imerese
What to see
Termini Imerese is a Sicilian city just 38 km from Palermo. The main attractions in Termini Imerese are the result of the passage of various cultures. You can immerse yourself in the city’s history by visiting the amphitheatre and the aqueduct from the Augustan era or heading to the civic museum where you can admire major artefacts from throughout the city. And don’t forget to visit the Himera archaeological area with its Temple of Victory.
Where to stay
Termini Imerese offers many solutions for accommodations. You can choose from a wide range of hotels, bed & breakfasts, and flats. For convenient access to all of the city’s attractions, we suggest staying in the centre.
What to eat
At Termini Imerese you can enjoy recipes from the Sicilian tradition, especially from the Palermo tradition. Particularly, in restaurants near the seafront, you can taste delicious seafood dishes. Allow yourself to be tempted by a plate of delicious spaghetti with sea urchins or pasta with sardines. If you would rather taste something besides fish, try the aubergine parmigiana. According to tradition the term “parmigiana” comes from the Sicilian word “parmiciana”, referring to the wood strips in shutters, which the layers of the dish seem to resemble.
