GNV is expanding its network towards the eastern Maghreb with the launch of the new direct Civitavecchia (Rome)–Annaba route, strengthening connections between Italy and this fast-growing region.

Starting from 8 August 2026, during the summer season, you can travel directly from Italy to Annaba with two departures a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Travel directly from Italy to Algeria

With the new Civitavecchia–Annaba ferry, travelling to Algeria is now even easier. Conveniently accessible from Rome and Central Italy, the Port of Civitavecchia is a strategic departure point for passengers travelling to North Africa.

Located in eastern Algeria, Annaba also offers convenient onward connections to the city, the surrounding areas and other destinations by road.

Travel with your car and the whole family

On the Civitavecchia–Annaba route, you can bring your car on board and continue your journey independently. Take everything you need with you and enjoy the crossing with your family, without compromising on comfort.
