GNV Aurora is the second vessel of a new generation of GNV ferries powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), a technology that helps reduce the environmental impact of maritime transport.

The ship is also equipped for Cold Ironing, a system that allows engines to be switched off while docked and electricity to be supplied from shore, reducing emissions and noise for the benefit of the environment, the sea, and local communities.
